Set Up Trading Account

Trading accounts with BitGo have a trading wallet that's an omnibus cold wallet. From your trading wallet, you can buy and sell cryptocurrencies. Unlike regular wallets, trading wallets are multi coin, and even include fiat USD.

For example, if you fund a trading account with $20,000 FIATUSD and place market orders for $7,000 in BTC and $3,000 in ETH, the wallet would settle with around:

  • $10,000 FIATUSD
  • $7,000 of BTC
  • $3,000 of ETH

BitGo automatically settles trade orders on weekdays at 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Note: Accounts in the test environment automatically include a trading account with test fiat USD. To request more, contact
