Mint and Burn Orders
The Developer Portal now includes a use-case Mint guide that walks you through minting and burning tokens using your Go Account. This new section provides end-to-end integration guides for issuing tokens against a funding asset and redeeming them back.
How It Works
Minting converts assets through orders. The source and destination assets you specify determine whether an order mints or burns tokens. Every order preserves a 1:1 relationship between circulating tokens and their underlying reserve assets.
The new guides cover three core operations:
- Accepting Minting Services Terms is required before you can create mint or burn orders.
- Minting issues new tokens against a funding asset (for example,
tfiatusd→hteth:usd1) to an eligible destination. - Burning (also known as redeeming) removes tokens from circulation and returns the funding asset to your account.
